Afforestation efforts
Afforestation programmes (as per records) have been
taken up in the State since 1950. Sal, Teak, Gamar
Garjan, Koroi, Agar, Arjun, Bahera, Bamboo,
Medicinal plants and other miscellaneous species have been raised.
Following is the area of afforestation carried
out in different divisions in last fifty years which shows a decreasing
